Devorah Glazer-Saker

Chief Creative Director

Devorah is a classically trained LAMDA actor.

She spent the early years of her career as a jobbing actor, where work was in London fringe theatre, radio voice overs, as well as a role in the leading children’s BBC TV drama, ‘The Story of Tracy Beaker.’

Devorah spent eight years at Hampstead Theatre in London, culminating in her position as Creative Learning Director.

Whilst there, she devised, commissioned and taught scriptwriting for and by young people, collaborating with both established and up and coming writers and performers. Her dramaturgical, directorial and producing credits in The Michael Frayn Studio at Hampstead Theatre include the Hampstead commissioned plays BANANA BOYS by Evan Placey; SCARLET’S CIRCUS by Penelope Skinner; FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT! by Gabriel Bisset-Smith; THE RECURRING RISE AND FALL by Kieran Lynn and TROPIKALI by James Parkes.

Additionally, Devorah developed, directed and produced several devised plays in conjunction with renowned playwrights, including Nick Grosso and Mike Bartlett.

More recently, Devorah took a side step into the slightly less dramatic world of corporate healthcare, where she furthered her commercial acumen as part of the business development team at the UK’s largest private hospital.

REALWorks Productions is a return to Devorah's original passion for creating stories, but with the purpose of not just entertaining but enlightening a universal audience with positive, authentic depictions of Jewish characters and Jewish life.
